Blackberries may not get as much fanfare as blueberries, but they are a fantastic garnish for many cocktails. Indeed, some recipes like the Black Rose are made with blackberries in mind. If you like your bourbon drinks on the tart side, this blackberry-themed drink will delight your taste buds.

Please don’t forget to add some “floral notes” with a dropperful of Tribe’s all-natural CBD oil. Made with American-grown hemp extract, Tribe’s CBD oil always comes with third-party lab certificates to ensure you’re getting exceptional quality.

Blackberries & Bourbon — CBD Black Rose Recipe

Thanks to their high antioxidant concentrations, berries often rank as the healthiest fruits on earth. While all berries have exceptional healing properties, nutritionists recently singled out one exotic fruit: the black raspberry.

According to Johns Hopkins researchers, black raspberries have off-the-charts antioxidant levels plus a healthy dose of fiber. Best of all, these deep-hued cultivars have low sugar content.

Unfortunately, since black raspberries are difficult to cultivate, they are relatively rare in supermarkets. However, nutritionists claim you could experience many of the benefits of these unique fruits with a handful of well-washed blackberries.

While blackberries and black raspberries may have more antioxidants than many fruits, that doesn’t mean other berries are “bad” for you. As long as you’re adding a few cups of berries to your weekly diet, you’ll be doing your body good.

  • 1 oz bourbon
  • ¼ oz grenadine
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • ¼ oz lemon juice
  • 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
  • Fresh blackberries, washed

  • Pour bourbon, grenadine, Angostura bitters, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker
  • Add ice and shake for a few seconds
  • Strain into a pre-chilled cocktail glass
  • Top with Tribe CBD oil and a skewer of blackberries

Florists aren’t too keen on offering black roses for customers (except perhaps during Halloween). Not only are these flowers challenging to cultivate, they’re also associated with morbid topics like sickness. Since most people buy roses as a symbol of love, black roses could send the wrong message!

Interestingly, there’s an entire “field” devoted to the “language of flowers.” During Valentine’s day, you may have learned to use a carefully-selected bouquet to give your special someone a subtle hint. For instance, bright red tulips suggest your infatuation with another person. However, if you get a striped carnation back, that means your desired partner doesn’t dig you.

Although most people nowadays aren’t “fluent in flower,” it may be worthwhile to investigate this age-old language. At the very least, you should research color psychology before haphazardly picking a bunch of flowers. Taking a few minutes to explore flower symbolism could ensure you’re sending the right message.
