Prohibition may be ancient history, but there’s still a great demand for “Rum Runners.” No, we’re not talking about people who smuggle rum from Cuba into the USA. Instead, we’re referring to the famous cocktail that originated in the Florida Keys.

Made with a blend of fruit-forward liqueurs and high-proof rum, the Rum Runner is sure to put you in a “Sunshine State” of mind. You could also enhance your drink’s chill tropical vibe with a dropperful of Tribe CBD oil.

Run To Your “Happy Place” With Tribe’s CBD Rum Runner Cocktail

The Rum Runner is one of those classic recipes that nobody could agree on. While there are a few elements in every Rum Runner cocktail, every bartender puts their spin on this drink.

You could freely experiment with many ingredients in this cocktail, but you should always use rum as your base spirit. What kind of rum you use depends on your preferences. For instance, some people love the tropical notes coconut rum provides, but you could also opt for spiced rum or a funky Jamaican variety. Heck, you could even mix a few of these rums for an extra potent experience.

Two other ingredients often in Rum Runner cocktails include banana liqueur and blackberry liqueur. Other than that, you could add as many fruit juices as you want to this cocktail. Please use the recipe provided below as a starting base for exploring your ideal cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz your preferred rum
  • 1 oz banana liqueur
  • ½ oz blackberry liqueur
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • ~ 2 oz pineapple juice
  • Dash of grenadine
  • 1 dropperful Tribe CBD oil
  • Lime wedge, garnish

Directions

  • Pour rum, banana liqueur, blackberry liqueur, lime juice, grenadine, and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker
  • Add ice and shake for a few seconds
  • Strain into a pre-chilled hurricane or Tiki glass
  • Top with Tribe CBD oil and a lime wedge

Every drinker knows rum is a magical spirit, but did you know people used to think this drink had medicinal uses? Indeed, back in the 19th century, some folks used rum in their shampoo. Not only that, a few ladies believed soaking their nails in rum could make them look extra shiny.

While this myth persisted throughout the 1800s, nobody has scientifically verified whether rum could help with hair loss. If anything, there’s more evidence that drinking too much booze could trigger early hair loss.

Interestingly, as hemp became legal in the USA, more people have begun using CBD products to strengthen their hair. Some people even claim feeding pet-friendly CBD treats to their dogs gives them a glossier sheen.

Yet again, we don’t have scientific evidence that proves CBD could stimulate hair growth. However, since CBD seems to have anti-anxiety effects, it may have a secondary impact on preserving the hair you’ve got.

Plenty of scientists agree that too much stress could lead to hair loss. So, if you’re afraid of losing your hair, you should consider adding some Tribe CBD to your wellness routine.

Soothe Your Joints With Tribe’s CBD Cream

We’re not 100 percent sure about adding CBD to your shampoo, but there’s solid evidence we have cannabinoid receptors on our skin. Therefore, if you use a CBD lotion topically, it may have localized anti-inflammatory effects. Indeed, there are now a few trials that strongly suggest CBD topicals may reduce inflammation related to conditions like arthritis.
